Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College is a government-owned autonomous engineering college in Jalpaiguri, and the second oldest engineering college in West Bengal.
JGEC was established in 1961 and is fully owned by the Government of West Bengal. It functions as an autonomous college affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology and is accredited by NAAC. It offers six undergraduate programmes, in civil, computer science, electronics and communication, electrical, information technology and mechanical engineering, plus postgraduate programmes in electrical and mechanical engineering.
